Mixed Media Artwork
Title: Mixed Media
You hold the future in your hands.

In Term 2 our Visual Arts focused was on Mixed Media. We finally finished our pieces of art at the end of the term. We started off by creating two hands, most of us copied our own hands as templates. One hand represents our past and the other hand our future. We used lots of different materials and symbols to make our artwork as well as exploring a range of different techniques with watercolor paint. This is my art work.

Room 6's Assembly
Last, last week Room 6 performed their assembly. Our main entertainment was a drama circle on occupations. We also displayed our mixed media we made in term 2. Some people also shared about what they put on their art and why. We all had so much fun preparing and presenting our assembly.
Here are some pictures of our assembly:

On Monday the 5th of August Room 6 hosted whole school prayers. Our theme was The Gift of Faith. We did a song called ‘Open the Eyes of My Heart’ and Jiwoo, Zara and Maggie made hand actions for us. Egg Sitting
Last week, we did egg sitting. Egg sitting was frustrating for some people, but it was fun for the other majority. Egg sitting is all part of the "Keeping Ourselves Safe" program. We all acted like the egg was the baby. The instructions were to keep it safe, and to not crack it. When people got their egg, they were pretty eggcited. And when it was near the end of egg sitting, people were pretty eggravated and tired of taking care of their eggs.

Famous People In The Early Church
Last week, we learned about famous people that helped Paul and people in the Early Church(his real name was Saul)spread the word of God. My group's poster was about Peter. He was a fisherman and he was the first apostle that was chosen by Jesus.
Here are some facts that were not on the poster. Some of them might be on the poster.
-Peter's friends were tormented by the Roman Emperor Nero.
-Peter was a fisherman.
-Jesus chose Peter because the name "Peter" meant rock or stone, which Jesus said that he will build his church on the rock.
